Team Accomplishments
Volleyball was the 2019 Class D1 Section V Champions. They finished their season with a 17-5 record. The girls lost to Hammondsport in the class D cross over game.
Meredith Conklin - SectionV Class D1 MVP, Finger Lakes West Exceptional Senior, a Finger Lakes West 1st Team All Star and the Finger Lakes West Player of the Year.
Jaiden Purcell and Marissa Willix - SectionV All Tournament Team.




Bloomfield Bomber Accomplishments
Adam Sheehan - Boys Soccer - Finger Lakes West 2nd Team All-Star, and was Named Player of the Year. Career 35g,25a, 95 Points.
Coach Bob Mcdaniels Coached his final Modified Volleyball team.
Bloomfield merges with Marcus Whitman to play Modified and Varsity Football.
Bloomfield Boys Basketball Get a New Varsity Coach. Randy Johnson Takes over for Jon Mastin after 12 years at the reinns.

Bloomfield Victor Swim Team / Diving Team
Emma Hawkins and her teammates from Victor take the Section V Title in Class A Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The Girls came in 2nd in the Girls 400 Yard Freestyle Relay. The girls then continued on to the states were they placed 4th in both the 200 and 400 free relays! They also placed 9th overall in the State meet. Emma also qualifies for the States in the Individual 200 IM and the 100 FLY.

2019 Bomber All Stars
Alex Kenyon, defends his Class D title with a new Class D Record in Diving and becomes the Class D Section V Diving Champion. Was named to the High School All American Diving Team. Travels To Nassau County and competes in the NYSPHAA Tournament. Winning it to become the State Diving Champion.
Jessica Sheehan, put up 1014 points in her career in the Lady Bomber Basketball Program. Jess also competed in Soccer, for the Bombers. Jessica was named to the Finger Lakes West All-Stars in Basketball and Soccer.
Tanner Kimball, Player of the Year for the Bombers Basketball team, with 877 Career points. Played soccer for the Bombers were he had 75 goals 19 Asst for 169pts. He was named to the Fingerlakes West All-Stars in Basketball and Soccer. Was picked to play in the Ronald McDonald All-Star Game for Basketball as well as the Great Rochester All-Star Game for Soccer. Both very big accomplisments for a Section V Athlete. Tanner becomes the 7 player under Coach Jonathan Mastin to be named to the the Ronald McDonald Game.

Braelin Scott:
Our 2018 Female Athlete of the Year accumulated 9 varsity letters in her athletic career at Bloomfield. She earned 4 letters as a member of the soccer team where she started and was named captain in her final three seasons. She was named a Finger Lakes West 2nd team All Star twice and was a 1st team selection in both her Junior and Senior seasons. She earned 5 varsity letters as a member of the basketball team where she was a 2 time Finger Lakes West 1st Team All Star and the Player of the Year as a senior. She is a member of the 1000 points club and finished her senior season ranked #1 in total rebounds and #3 in total points in Section V. She was named to the All State honorable mention as well as an All Greater Rochester honorable mention. She was a Scholar Athlete all 5 years of her basketball career and was selected as the Channel 10 News Scholar Athlete of the Week. She finished her remarkable basketball career with of 1216 points, 964 rebounds, 146 assists, 165 blocks and 191 steals.
Jaclyn Bell:
Won the 2018 Section V Class CC Pentathlon Championship in girls track and field. The pentathlon is made up of five events that include the 100 High Hurdles, 800M, Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump.

7th Place Finish at the Public School State Championship. NISCA/Speedo Boys One Meter Diving All American.
Trevor Robinson: Became the third pitcher in Section V. Since 1957 to throw a perfect game. Also it was the last game played on the lower field, and was caught by a Freshman Catcher.
Chris Wollschleger: Bowled a perfect, 300 game 1/10/2018.
Our 2018 Male Athlete of the Year has accumulated 12 varsity letters over the course of his athletic career here at Bloomfield. He earned 2 letters as a member of the soccer team, 6 letters as a member of the bowling team and 4 for his participation in track. His career totals for soccer consist of 7 assists and 11 goals on 38 shots. He received the Coaches Award and was named a 2nd Team All Star in his senior season. Following his junior year he traveled to Italy to compete against top level Italian teams. In track he placed 3rd in pentathlon at the Wayne invitational in 2018. He also placed 6th during the 2017 sectionals in high jump and 3rd in high jump at the Alexander invitational in 2018. As a member of the varsity bowling team he held the league high average for 5 consecutive years. He had a high game of 300 and a high 3-game series of 733. He is a 4 time league champion as well as a 4 time Newkirk tournament champion and won 3 consecutive sectional championships. He finished 2nd overall in sectionals in 2017 and holds a career average of 207. As a senior, he was named to the Daily Messenger All Star 1st Team and received $1,750.00 in total scholarships from the Canandaigua USBC association and NYS USBC association.

Varsity Golf: The team went 17-1. Fingerlakes League Champion, 1st team to make it to the State Qualifiers.

High School Sports Report
The new stadium was finished at the end of the 2016 soccer season. Track and Field were able to use the new stadium in the spring of 2017. The first game on the new stadium will be played in 2017.

In 2015 the old bleachers were removed and the gym floor was redone for a much needed Face Lift.

The 2014 Boys Basketball team went on to win the Class C1 Bracket. With a 19-2 record, beating Early College 70-49 in the finals at the Blue Cross Arena. Last Section V championship was in 1978.

The Bloomfield Varsity Boys Basketball went on to be the Number 1 seed for the Class C1 in Section V. They were the Finger Lakes West Champions.
Jake was on the 2011 team that went 21-1. That Lost to the East Rochester Bombers in the Class C1 Championship. Jake ave 20 points and 12 rebounds a game. He also finished his career with 1142 points.
Hayley Zambito Scores 59 3-pointers in the season / 8 3-pointers in a game.
Swimming comes back to Bloomfield.

The Girls Track Team finished 1st in the League Championships with 123 points. They continued the success in bringing home 4 Class D Sectional Titles. Kim Headlee won two titles in the 200m & 400m. She also set two school records in both events. Yvonne Stone won the 800m and anchored the 3200m relay which consisted of Beth Wilkins, Meagan, and Kristin Lochte.
Sean Smith advanced to the State Qualifiers.
The Girls Cross Country team finished as Co-Champions in the WFL West/Central. The team only had 5 runners for the season.
The Lady Bombers Basketball team ended the season with six straight wins. Which made it so that they could win the Finger Lakes West Title.

Player: Terri Eddy Terwilleger- Class of 1983. Scored 1006 points in her 4 year career.
Player: Wendy Mead- 29 points a game. Undefeated in her 4 years of Basketball.
Coach: Donald Brennan- Taught and Coached at BCS. Had Championship teams in 1950 and 1951.
Player: Jay Repard- Class of 1965. Avg 19 points a game. Was 4th in the league in 1965 season.
Bomber Mascot was introduced for the season.


Flw Championship and Sectional Champions
Sean Smith ran the 800 & 1600 Meters winning the Section V Championship as well as Finger lakes West Championship. Peter Kocher was Finger lakes West Champion in the High Jump. Kim Headlee captured the Class C title in the High Jump. She was also League Champion in the High Jump and 400m. Megan Lochte Placed 2nd in the 3000m as well as the 1600m relay time with Kristin Skirvin, Sarah Beerens, and Jen Kendall.
Kim Headlee Broke the school High Jump Record, jumping 5'3" erasing the old mark set in 1987.
Cross Country placed 2nd in Section V Class C.
Girls Soccer wins the Section V Class C Champions.

Kristin and Megan Lochte carried Bloomfield to an 11th place finish out of 15 teams in Class B of Section V. They both were undefeated throughout the dual meet season in their respected events. Meagan broke a 6 yr old record in the Class B 200 Freestyle.
The 1995-96 Girls Basketball Team win the Finger Lakes League with a 13-1 record. They go on to win the Class C Section V Title.
The 1995-96Boys Basketball Team went 17-3 and won the Finger Lakes West Title.

In Girls Soccer Susan Damaske May Defensive MVP in the Section V Championship.
Girls Track saw Kristin Lochte and Kim Headlee with personal best. 92' in the discus for Kristin and 5'1" in the high jump for Kim.

In 1989 the school started a building improvement on the gym. The gym known as the Bomber Barn was torn down and the new gym was built. Here is a photo of a piece of the old gym floor. This piece of floor is at the East Bloomfield Historical society.
In 1990 there were two senior athletes that were very notable to the programs they participated in.
The 1st was Terry Lucero All-Star Wrestler, also played Lacrosse, Soccer, and Baseball.
The 2nd was Jub Bartlett, who was an accomplished Alpine Skier. Who received an automatic bid to
the US JR. National Ski event.

The Boys Soccer team Repeated as Finger Lakes West Champion. Section V Champions won in a shoot out to advance to the Western Regional. The Western Regionals ended in a tie where the Bombers lost in a shoot out to Holland who advanced to the State Bracket.

Boy Soccer State Champions
The Boys soccer team went 21-3-1 on the season. Noteable games were Northhampton Ma, Honeoye Falls-Lima, Byron-Bergen and Holland. The team went on to win the Finger Lakes West, Class A Section V Championship, the Western Regional Championship. The team then traveled to Schenectady NY were they took on Cobelskill and won the New York State Championship 4-1.



Sports Report
The Girls Basketball team was the 1983 Section V Class B Champions. They went on to play in the western regionals that were played at Alfred State. They won that game and made there trip to the New York State Championship weekend. Were they lost?

The team consisted of Seniors 6'4" Andy Rogers, 6'1" Dave Conklin, 6'3" Keith Henderson, 6'1" Steve Rogers, 6'1" Terry Marble, 6'3" David Wayne, 6'0" Ken Tiffany, and Juniors, Tim Collins, Mike Howes, Wally Campbell, Richard Lucus. The team scored 111 points against FLW Rival Dundee. It was the Second time in as many years that the team scored over 100 points in a game. The first time they scored 108. The Bombers dominated the league. Their only loss in the regular season came to at the hands of AA Waterloo. e boys were the number 2 seed going into the tournament. They went through Avon, Geneseo, and Oakfield Alabama, before knocking off #1 Perry 66 to 61. They went on to the Western Regionals were they took on Section VI Allegany beating them by a score of 70-66. Their biggest test of the season came next as the Bombers took on Sidney High out of section IV. Sidney was led by 6'3" Ralph Alexander who averaged 20 ppg and 19 rpg. Along with 6'4" forward Steve Vander Meulen. But they proved to not to be much of a random as the Bombers beat them 61-49 to advance meet up with Section II Schuylerville.
With Rodgers returning from a Broken arm it was time to take on Schuylerville who was lead by a set of twin towers in 6'7" Evan Stover who averaged 22ppg and a dominant shot blocker. His sidekick was 6'5" Bob Foote who averaged 15 ppg. The game went back and forth but a last-second layup by the 6'7" Stover where the ball hung on the rim for what seemed to be minutes before dropping through the net to give the Black Horse's the State Championship.

The Boys Basketball team wins it's 2nd Class B Section V Championship.
Girls Basketball wins it's 2nd Class C Section V Championship with an overall record of 17-0.

The Bomber Plane was painted on the gym wall. The Soccer teams played on the lower field at the high school. That field is now the present day parking lot for the PAC.

Bloomfield had two Section V Championship in girls sports. Girls Varsity Soccer Team won its 1st Section V Championship for the School. They finished their season with a 14-0 record.
The Cheerleading Squad won it's 1st Section V Championship for the school.
This was only the Second Year that Girls were allowed to play in a League and in the Section V Tournament
Boys Basketball
The Varsity Boys Basketball team was the #2 seed in Section V Class C Tournament.
The Girls Athletic Association was in it last couple of years as Girls Finger Lakes League was
in it final stages of being formed. This was also the 1st year for a Girls Sectional Tournament.

The Girls Program is in there last year of the Girls Athletic Assoication.
The Girls League is formedand will be taking over in 1974 along
with a Girls Section 5 Program. This is a huge step forward
for the girls athletic programs.

In 1973 the Boys Basketball Team made it to the Semi-Finals of the Section V Championship. Where they ended up losing.

History of Sports in 1972
In 1972 the girl's basketball team played for the girls athletic association. Up until the 1971-72 season the girls played in a one-piece jumpsuit that was used for gym class or they played in their own clothes.
But at the start of this season, the Mead Family went out and bought the first set of uniforms for the girls to use. This was also the 1st year the girls were permitted to play in the High School Gym here at the school.

The Class of 1972 dedicated there yearbook to three Alumni Athletes. These three Athletes were drafted and went to Vietnam to Fight in the Vietnam Conflict. All three Alumni lost there lives.

In 1969 the Girls Athletic Association's basketball team played a 6 man game with rovers. They had 2 girls play offense, 2 on defense and 2 ran up and down the court. There wasn't a lot of scoring, and the girls only played intramurals sports.

School Sports History
In 1962 the East Bloomfield Central School introduced the Cross Country Team. The Team was coached By Don Brennan. The Track team had a good year as Bruce Adams was the County Champion in the Broad Jump with a jump of 19'6". He was also the Section V Champion in the Broad Jump. Bill Tuggey was the County Champion in the mile and held the county record in the mile as he ran a 4 minutes 58-second mile. Bill Baldwin was 1st in the shot-put with a through of 40', and John Brennan was 1st in the 1/4 mile with a time of 55 seconds.

In 1960 the Bloomfield Central School Hired a new Physical Education Teacher named Gordan Joseph. Coach Joseph started his coaching career in 196. Taking over the Basketball Team. Where he went on to win three Section V Championships.

When the Class of 1953 was graduating. The Korean War was coming to an end. East Bloomfield Central School was growing.

It was discovered after going through many yearbooks. As well as a lot of research from the Bloomfield Historical Society. That in 1951 the mascot for the East Bloomfield Central School was named. After having a contest to name the Mascot.
A name was picked and the Bloomfield Bombers were born.
The Korean War was in its 2nd year.

Bloomfield in 1944, only a couple of teams were able to play this year up to 1950 due to the gas rations.
World War II. was close to being over. But due to the rations of the paper to make war bonds.
There were no yearbooks printed from 1944 to 1950. We are hoping that we might be able to find some photos in
the future to put up.

The year 1943. World War II was in its second year. The community of Bloomfield along with the rest
of the nation. Were under some strict bans. Gasoline along with paper, rubber and other things were being
rationed. Due to the gasoline ban most every school had to cut there sports programs. Not only did they cut programs but this was also the last year until 1950 that yearbooks, as well as photos, were printed. All paper went to produce war bonds and other things the nation needs to print to help the war effort.

Cheerleading squad. All girls sports were intramural.

This is the Girls Intramural Basketball team of 1933. You will notice on the ball it says they had a record of 32-3. The girls were not allowed to play in any leagues. They played strickly intramural basketball and played any all school that had a team. The Girls team did not have uniforms. They played in one piece jump suits or there own clothes. We have also enclosed a photo that contains the members of the team.

In 1926 the girls of the East Bloomfield Central School, formed the Girls Athletic Assoication. The girls athletic assoication was pretty much an intramural league. The girls were not allowed to play in any actual leagues. They traveled around to other schools that also had an intramural team to play. The Boys Basketball and Baseball teams are also pictured. You will also note the names of the players for each team.
