Kirby Green

Coach Kirby Green:
Kirby taught Health and Physical Education at Bloomfield for 33 years. He was the Director of Athletics for 10 years.
During that timehe helped to bring a Lacrosse program to the district. Kirby coached JV Baseball, JV Soccer
and 8th grade Basketball. He took over the as the Varsity Soccer Coach and JV Basketball Coach in 1979.
He also coached Modified and Varsity Lacrosse when the program started.As Varsity Soccer Coach he had a 214-201-56 record.
Coached the team to the Finger Lakes West Championship in 1981 and 82. Sectional Championships in 1981 and '82.
Western Regional and State Championship in 1981.

Kirby contuined to be a part of Section V Athlletics as a softball official.

1981

Kirby coached his 1981 team to a FLW Championship, Section V Co-Champions which advanced by shoot out to the Western Regionals,
were the team beat Norwood-Norfolk. They advanced to the State Championship Game were he coached the team to a 4-1 win over
Cobelskill. Kirby and his team won the schools first ever State Championship.

1982

Kirby coached his second straight team to a FLW Championship and his 2nd Section V Title.
The team lost in the western regional due to a shoot out.
